Nat and Dan are fine upstanding members of the community and in no way prone to the fits of puerile banter they've been accused of. Ever. Honest. Joining them in the absence of Mike this week is super-utility player and HdP's arch-nemesis: Phil 'The Producer' Spooner.

In other news: Von Miller will miss the first 10 games of the season for violating the league’s drug policy, no one knows what it was for, although Denver has denied it was a performance enhancing test; Michael Vick will be the Eagles’ starter after after he acquiited himself well on the weekend against the Panthers; fter many rumours that Tom Brady was injured, he turned out for the Patroits as he threw to Danny Amendola again and again and again; in the NHL, Henrik Lundquist will be staying between the pipes in New York as he comes to the end of his six year 41.5 million contract. “I love it here,” he says and for that money, who wouldn’t?; Vinny Lecavalier has been relased by the Lightning, one of the shining stars of a team that has hit the rocks recently; NBA-wise, Denver guard Ty Lawson is in trouble with the law - arrested and charged with physical harrasement and criminal mischief; Boston Red Sox starter Ryan Dempster received a five-game suspension and undisclosed fine for intentionally hitting the Yankees' Alex Rodriguez; Dempster will not appeal the penalty and will begin serving the suspension Tuesday night; loads of great questions fom the mailbag; more smack talk and much, much more...

Mike and Dan are gentle, sensitive and ferociously moral guys, despite often coming off as mostly the opposite of all those things. With Nat away on work-y travels they're brought more than up to strength by the fabulous David Whitney who brings, amongst many other things, the world's greatest laugh...

In other news: Several films get thoroughly debated, including a detailed analysis of Grown-Ups 2; Mike's been watching Firefly; Lucozade cures AIDS; Football is back! Tebow gets a run out for the Patriots and managing only a 50% pass completion rate against the Eagles, for whom Michale Vick starred; Nick Foles fumbled and Riley Cooper managed to avoid calling anyone the N Word, more on that later; in Detroit, Sanchez started terribly – being picked off by rookie Ziggy Ansah, before he picked up and threw a TD; in better news for him Geno Smith looked shaky and rolled his ankle on a wobbly scramble; things happen in the baseball, Mike tells you about them; basketball is coming soon, Dan tells you more about that; Dan comes up with a cracking game based around smack-talk; a member of the Department of History, Race and Race Relations stars in the Bodeans Mailbag and the gang clarify some of their position on the whole Washington thing and much, much more...

We done made another live show! For those who were there, you know what triumphs there were and what disasters, what joys and what sorrows, what technical glitches and what further technical glitches...

Aaaanyway, here's a very lightly tweaked recording of the show for you with Nat, Mike, Dan and Marek doing their best to defeat the audience in a series of challenges, along with a bonus track at the end featuring the enormously funny James Loveridge and our very own Dan Louw.

Back in the saddle for weekly 'Carnage goodness next week as we roll into preseason.

Mike and Dan brave the bubbling tarmac of summertime Camden, diving for the airconditioned goodness of the Americarnage studio. Nat has other ideas and has fled the country once more. Making up the triad this week is a man who's soon to do something similar, except instead of a holiday in France it'll be taking Avenue Q to South Korea: brilliant actor and certified Tennessee Galoot, Chris Ragland.

In other News: Vladimir Putin has been in a submarine lately and Dan would do terrible love-things to his ex-wife apparently; Dan pitched shows to the production company that made Sharknado - blame him; Manning Camp is underway and the biggest casualty so far has been Johnny Manziel’s head - the Texas A&M quarterback was sent home suffering from dehydration and exhaustion. Totally not a hangover; the big talk in the league is the ione that got away – Ilya Kovalchuk of the New Jersey Devils has decided to retire effective immediately -the only problem is that he had 12 years and 77 million left on his contract, which he chose to forgo; Dominic Moore is returning to hockey after spending a year away nursing his wife back from liver cancer - the former member of the Lightning will now grace the third of fourth line of the Rangers; the All-Star will have happened by now and is it still a let-down? Loads of good stuff from the Bodeans Mailbag, a discussion on accents and much, much more...

Oh yeah, and it's the last show before Americarnage Live! A few tickets left but you'd best be quick:

Nat and Dan went to see Springsteen together at Hard Rock Calling. Mike cou;dn't make it to that or indeed this week's show (although he did send some pre-recorded Iron Goodness so worry not Carlson fans) so into the guest seat slips journalist, Bears fan and Americarnage's College football expert Ben Isaacs.

In other news: The guys talk about thier names when they were younger and for some reason they seem to think this is interesting; the Boss gets discussed of course; there's a tiny bit of mobile phone interferance and it's HdP's fault - he has been disciplined; great sports books get discussed; the Heat are NBA champions, setting Lebron up for all sorts of records; Lebron does not let anyone forget he knows he's the greatest player ever; draft night business was fun as Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce get traded to Boston and all sorts of other chicanery; the Blackhawks have the Stanley Cup amidst ding-dong action; baseball things happen; someone called Aaron Hernandez is in the news for something or other; loads of great questions in the Bodeans Mailbag; dodgy wise-guy acting in Hollywood's new game and much, much more...
